The documentary series ,Postcards from Arunachal, capturing the beauty and extraordinariness of Arunachal Pradesh was premiered on Saturday on National Geographic channel and Fox Life India on the occasion of the statehood day of the state.
The two part documentary series titled ‘Postcards from Arunachal’ features actor Radhika Madan who takes the viewers to experience the enchanting grandeur of the state.
The series chronicles the actor’s explorations of different mind blowing destinations across the state. Right from being wowed by the magnificience of the mountains to absorbing the tranquility of the monasteries, Madan walks us through an interesting journey throughout the series.
The Postcards from Arunachal series also documents the flora and fauna of the state, the bustling markets, the extremely popular Ziro Valley and many more. Madan also tries out the delicious ethnic cuisine of the state along with showcasing the traditional handicrafts and rich culture of different tribes in the state.
As per reports, the documentary was shot in several districts of the state including Tawang, West Kameng, Lower Dibang Valley, Namsai, Pakke, East Siang etc.
Earlier, Chief Minister Minister Pema Khandu expressed that he believes this documentary will bring alive Arunachal’s great tourism potential. Previously Nat Geo had created a documentary in Kaziranga .
