The Government of Sikkim has issued new orders regarding relaxation of lockdown procedures in the state. It also allows tourists with vaccination to enter the state. The following are the key points in the latest set of orders.
- All State Government offices including Public Sector Undertakings, Boards, Corporations under the State Government shall work with 100% attendance of the employees who have received both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine. Other employees may be permitted to follow the present arrangement of 50% attendance. Head of Departments have to ensure vaccination of all employees in consultation with the Health Department.
- All factories, production units and commercial establishments, where all the workers/employees have received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine, shall now be allowed to operate with 100% manpower. Other units will continue to follow 50% attendance norm. The management shall ensure that the Covid-19 protocol is followed by all employees.
- Entry of all persons, including tourists, who have been fully vaccinated with doses of Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed entry from Melli and Rangpo check post without RTPCR test reports on the validation of vaccination documents. For all others, existing travel restrictions will continue to apply.
- All Hotels, Guest Houses, Home Stays and other accommodations will be allowed to operate with 50% of total capacity and the management will ensure strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
- All Malls and Showrooms will be permitted to operate with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols by the management of such units.
- Pillion riders shall now he allowed on two wheelers.
These order shall remain valid from the 5th of July till the 12th.
