Tripura Tourism has unveiled its new portal today at in event in Agartala. The formal opening of the same was done by Pranajit Singha Roy, the tourism minister of Tripura. It can be accessed from tourism.tripura.gov.in.
This new portal will provide all information needed for travelling in the state of Tripura. It already has details about the key tourism destinations and attractions distributed across the state. It also has five hotels and resorts listed and registered with Tripura Tourism as of now. Compared to the rest of Northeast India, Tripura has lot of undeveloped and underdeveloped tourism resources.
Potential tourists can now use these details to plan their itinerary perfectly. They can also use the same to book for accommodation in the registered resorts and guesthouses of the state. They are also planning to introduce custom tour packages to suit the needs of different types of tourists. It also includes details of contact persons from the department. Alongside these resources, it also has necessary maps and other necessary details about the accommodations.
According to the minster, the department aims to include more tourist accommodations in the near future. Other tourism resources like attractions and supplementary services are also being created. One of them is the development of the Matabari Temple.
