The fifth edition of the Northeast TSD Run, previously called the Northeast TSD Rally will take place on the 7th and 8th of January 2022. Entries of the event will be opened from the 1st of November 2021.
This year’s Northeast TSD Run will also be the host of the Northeast Zone Qualifier Stage for the Indian National Regularity Run Championship conducted by The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India.
TSD in this context means Time – Speed – Distance. And this form Motorsport involves the participant reaching a particular location of the route based on a given map and speed list. The team who is able to reach them with least margins, win the game. Each team in this motor sport consists of a minimum of a driver-navigator pair.
Happening for the 5th time in a row, this motorsport event attracts participants from across the country. This time the competition will happen across three categories. They are the INRRC Category, the Open Category and the Women Category. The first category will be for the professionals of the game, including the winners of previous FMSCI events and the third for women only teams. Rest will all participate in the Open Category.
Similar to the fourth edition, this year too the event will happen in the vicinity of the Guwahati city. And the entry fees for the same will be notified soon. Twenty six teams from across the country qualified to participate last year. The organizers have reduced both the distance and duration of the even since last year because of COVID-19.
