Along with the many parts of the country, Arunachal Pradesh has also decided to open its doors for tourism. The state government has approved on resuming the tourism activities in the state in compliance with the following SOPs-
- Only pre-booked package tours exclusively through local tour operators of the state will be allowed to operate nd tourist’s vehicle, driver and tour guide used during the tour should remain unchanged from the point of entry to exit of the state. All tourist transport and ground handling services including pick up/drop will be allowed only through the authorized local travel agents/tour operators.
- All tourists including the driver and guide of the tour will have to go through two Covid-19 tests. RT-PCR or TrueNAT test 3-5 days before the state of the tour and Rapid Antigen test on arrival at the entry point of the state.
- Documents of the tourist to be furnished while applying for Inner Line Permit and at Entry points- 1. Valid Covid-19 Negative certificate from ICMR designated laboratory/facility, not more than 3-5 days old. (PT PCR or True NAT Test). 2. Proof of pre-booking slips, details tour itinerary with the hourly place of visit and place od stay issued by the concerned registered local tour operator. 3. Vehicle and tour guide details.
- Tourists should strictly observe social distancing norms with a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) per person. Family groups can stay together if they ensure that they are at least 2 metres (6 feet) away from any other individual or family groups.
- Tourists should ensure that they wear a protective face mask while within the premises of any tourism destination.
- Tourists should frequently wash hands or use hand sanitizers.
- All places of stay for tourists should be preferably at accommodation outside the main town areas or populated areas.
- Tourists having an abnormal temperature and/or flu like symptoms shall not be allowed to enter the state.
- Any tourist displaying potential Covid-19 symptoms and the accompanying the said tourist shall be moved to a covid care center or isolation room for further action.
- Persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidity, pregnant women, and children below the age of 10 years shall not be permitted to enter the state as tourist.
- Tourist shall minimize contact with other staff and visitors.
- Tourist shall avoid handling cash as much as possible.
- All tourists will be briefed by the tour guides on the dos and dont’s to be mandatory followed during their time at the tourism facility.
- Tourists should be advised not to visit areas falling under containment zones.
- Spitting in public is strictly prohibited,
- Use of Arogya Setu app is mandatory for tourists, tour guides and drivers.
- In addition, SOPs issued by the state government for management of Covid-19 should be strictly adhered by the tourists and tourism service providers.
