A new notification has been issued by the Government of Assam for entry into the state. It is in minor modification of the previous order regarding the same.
The number of people vaccinated twice in the country has increased reasonably in the recent times. Therefore, in partial modification of the earlier Order No. HLA.301/2020/175 dated 13/04/2021 and in cancellation of the earlier Notification No. HLA.247/2020/60 dated 15/07/2021, the following steps are hereby adopted for ensuring the safety and convenience of all the passengers entering Assam through air, railway and road transportation.
- All incoming passengers, who have been vaccinated with all doses of any registered COVID-19 vaccines and possess such certificate, on display of the same to the screening authority will be exempted from mandatory testing on arrival at the Airports, Railway stations, Road Border Points etc. of the state.
- However, passengers who are vaccinated with single dose or not having any vaccination and those who are symptomatic, even with both doses of vaccination shall have to undergo mandatory RT-PCR testing at their own cost on arrival at airports, railway stations etc. in Assam, for which a subsidized rate of Rs 250/- only per RTPCR test shall be charged.
This notification about entry into Assam will come into force with immediate effect.
