Flybig has launched new flights to connect Tezu and Imphal to Guwahati. This service will benefit not only the residents of the Northeast Indian region, but also the tourists coming here.
This service has been developed as a part of the implementation of the National Civil Aviation Policy. The idea is to develop smaller airports to promote regional connectivity. Government formulated the UDAN scheme for this very purpose. And these new flights are the latest addition to the air connectivity in the region. Flybig, one of India’s newest budget airlines has introduced and operate this route.
These flights will be available for six days a week. It will be available on all days of the week except Monday. Flybig will be operating an ATR aircraft with single class configuration offering 70 seats of Economy Class in each flight. The inward sector Flight S9201 departs Guwahati at 8.15 AM in the morning to Tezu and departs Tezu at 10.00 AM for Imphal. And it land at 11.15 AM in Imphal. The return flight, numbered S9202 departs Imphal at 12.00 PM for Tezu and departs Tezu at 1.40 PM to land at 3.10 PM in Guwahati.
Today was the inaugural flight of this new route by Flybig from the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. And passengers expressed their satisfaction over the new service as well as better connectivity. They also hoped that the services remain operational in far future.
