Flybig airlines has signed an agreement with the Indian Railways Catering and Ticketing Corporation for booking tickets. After the ties, tickets for Flybig will be available for booking on the flights section of the IRCTC website.
Officials informed that the ties will allow the passengers to book their air tickets to any northeast destination serviced by Flybig with ease through the IRCTC portal, which will boost the tourism in Northeast India. The ties between them was launched in line with Dekho Apna Desh to promote the Northeast. It also boosts Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign to promote connectivity & economic growth of this region.
Flybig is a new scheduled commuter airline offering air travel solutions aligned with the underlying travel needs and preferences in emerging cities of India. The airline began operations in January 2021 and is focused on connecting tier-2 and tier-3 cities within India.
Celebrating the occasion during the festival season, Chander Bahadur the Head of finance at Flybig airlines mentioned that Guwahati is the 2nd mainstream destination and the operations were kicked off in May 2021 to connect Guwahati to Tezu, Pasighat, Rupsi, Agartala, Dibrugarh and Kolkata. Lila Bari is the new sector and will be launched on 31st October.
