In yet another milestone in the international travel by an Indian player, Go First introduces direct flights between Srinagar and Sharjah. This will have both passengers and cargo services between the two countries.
The service will be operated by an Airbus A320neo. The only Go First flight G8 1595 departed from Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar at 18:00 hours and arrived in Sharjah at 21:00 hours. The inaugural flight was flagged off by Hon’ble Home Minister, Amit Shah from the Srinagar airport in the presence of Hon’able Lt Governor Mr. Manoj Sinha and other dignitaries. Minister of Civil Aviation Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia also attended the inauguration virtually form New Delhi.
The company will operate four flights every week between Srinagar and Sharjah. And this will definitely boast both tourism and trade between India and the United Arab Emirates. Go First will meet the demands of convenient travel between both the destinations at an affordable price. An early bird offer now allow the passengers to book tickets at INR 5000.
Cargo transportation allows the export of perishable horticultural and agriculture from Jammu and Kashmir and nearby states to the UAE. Go First was previously known as GoAir and has its headquarters in Mumbai.
