The National Highways Authority of India has launched the 1033 Helpline for all users of all the national highways across the country.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has started this new initiative to make the National Highways of the country safer for all. These roads are major concerns due to the number of accidents and also the lack of trained responders across the country.
The new 1033 helpline is created to be a Universal Access Number for all road users across the country. And this will help travelers with both any kind or emergency or non emergency problem. The 1033 helpline will be accessible from all service providers of the nation.
The key features of this helpline include a round the clock centralized call center service for the entire year. All services will have access of multiple languages for helping different regions of the country. The helpline will assist any person involved in any accident by arranging ambulance , patrol vehicles or tow vehicles in times of need.
This step will definitely go a long way to make the highways safer for all travelers across the country.
