Rashtrapati Bhavan is an iconic building of India. It is the residence and office of the President of the country. And this iconic building has opened its doors for tourists from the 1st of December.
The President’s Secretariat published a notification regarding this. Visitors will be allowed on the premises for five days of the week, from Wednesday to Sunday. It will be closed for tourists on Mondays, Tuesdays and all gazetted holidays. Tourists will have five slots to select from for visits per day. And each with a duration of an hour. The time slots are from 10AM to 1PM pre lunch and 2PM to 4PM post lunch.
These guided tour will include the Main Building, Forecourt, Reception, Navachara, Banquet Hall, Upper Loggia, Lutyens Grand Stairs, Guest Wing, Ashok Hall, North Drawing Room, Long Drawing Room, Library, Durbar Hall and Lord Buddha Statue.
Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum Complex stays open six days every week except Mondays. Change of Guard will also be accessible on Saturdays on 8AM to 9AM. Thus making an excellent opportunity for all visitors to the capital of the country.
Visitors will have to book their slots online from this link. Each person will have to pay Rs 30 and Rs 1200 for a group of upto 30 visitors. Children below the age of 8 years do not have to pay this fees. And this fees is not refundable or transferable.
