In a bid to boost tourism, the District authorities of Karminagar city in Telangana are planning to create their very own island resort as a big tourism hot-spot.
The proposed ‘KCR Island’ will be developed in an area in Lower Mainair Dam, few minute away from the city. The chosen site is a natural hillock, Mysammagutta, formed with huge rocks in the midst of a reservoir. As per reports, officials have already visited the site to get a stock of the entire project and design in details. The design works have been assigned to an architecture firm based in Bengaluru.
According to a report, a ‘Detailed Project Report (DPR)’ has been submitted to the state government. After its approval, tenders will be invited and the work will gain momentum for this tourist spot.
The island project is estimated to cost around Rs. 20 crores. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been submitted to the state government. As per a report, a green signal has already been given by the tourism department to start the first phase of work costing around Rs. 5 crores.
The KCR Island is expected to include a banquet hall, premium suits, bamboo cottages, floating restaurants and bridges to host candle-light celebrations and parties, swimming pools etc.
The tourism sector of India is gradually staggering back to normalcy with the gradual reopening of businesses under Unlock stages.
