Northeast Frontier Railway conducted a trial run for the third Vistadome train under its command. This special tourist train will cover the scenic route from New Tinsukia to Dibrugarh in Assam.
The trial run was conducted by the Northeast Frontier Railway for the tour operators, media persons as well as other stakeholders. The idea is to make potential domestic tourists and foreign aware about this facility alongside important tourist destinations of the state.
Vistadome coaches are specially modified railway coaches for the Indian Railways. These are coaches retrofitted with bigger windows as well as glass roofs. These changes alongside the excellent onboard service allows the tourists of this train to have a memorable experience. Northeast Frontier Railway already has two active vistadome circuits under its command. The first one operates between Guwahati and Haflong in Assam and the second one between the New Jalpaiguri Junction and Alipurduar Junction in West Bengal.
Since the first vistadome is already functioning well, we can expect the second one to be launched very soon. this one will give a beautiful scenic view of the lush greenery as well as the tea gardens of the state.
