These include developing existing tourism resources as well as creating new ones across the state. He also expressed his hope that this new project will help in engaging more and more tourists. While underlining that the Ujjayanta Palace is one of the most important tourist destinations in the capital city.
The chief minister also expressed hope that this project will be able to attract more tourists to the city. And thereby increasing the scope and avenues for possible income generation in the state. He also added that this is the first-weekend tourism hub of the state. Although there are similar projects in other states, this one is the first in Tripura.
Manik Saha also emphasised the importance of security in the tourist destinations of the state. He added that the security forces will remain on constant vigil to prevent any untoward incident. He also instructed the state police to take the necessary steps in this direction.
The state of Tripura has several beautiful tourist destinations. Some of them have architectural, others have natural and a few others have religious tourism prospects. But because of several reasons, the number of tourists visiting the state is very limited. By introducing new tourism projects, the state government aims to increase that number in the coming years.
