The Ziro Festival of Music has decided to postpone the 2021 music extravaganza due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The host state of Arunachal Pradesh still has strict travel restrictions.
The Ziro Festival of Music is one of the biggest music related events in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Making it one of the most important tourism event of the state.
The COVID-19 global pandemic caused lots of changes to the event scenarios all over the world. The same can be said about the northeastern part of the country. All major events were either cancelled or hosted online for the year 2020. Both NH& Weekender Ziro Festival of Music were hosted online last year.
The post on the Facebook page mentioned that this year’s event has been postponed. Without any confirmations from the NH7 Weekender organizers as well as of now, we can safely assume that it will be hosted online just like the last year.
The cancellations of physical events has definitely hit a huge population. Right from the event management companies to local supporters, campsite organizers, transporters and cab drivers, and the catering parties, everyone has lost and continue to loose because of the cancellation of these physical events.
